How to make a claim
If you wish to make a claim, you must call our Claims Helpline before arranging treatment. The Helpline is available Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays) from 8am–6pm.
Our claims helpline - 0870 444 8291
Calls to an 0870 number from a BT landline cost no more than 8p a minute. Charges from other suppliers may be different.
Our Claims Helpline is here to help you whenever you need to make a claim. We will always try to make the process as simple as possible and our team will guide you from start to finish, answering any questions or concerns you may have about your claim caringly, quickly and efficiently.
When you first ring the Claims Helpline to tell us about a new claim, we will ask you for the following information to help us assess your claim:
Your name and policy number. We will also carry out a brief identify check by
asking you to confirm your address and / or date of birth;
The medical condition / symptoms you are suffering from;
The date you first visited your General Practitioner (GP) with this condition or
symptoms;
The treatment plan your GP is recommending including:
The name of the person you are being referred to; and
The hospital or clinic you will be attending.
The name, address and telephone number of your GP.
We will also ask you for a current telephone number and email address in case
we need to contact you during your claim.
We understand it can be uncomfortable discussing your medical problems with
someone you don’t know and we will be as discreet as possible. However, the more
information you can give us, the easier it will be for us to assess your claim
there and then, over the telephone, and avoid the need for us to contact your
GP.
You may also find it useful to have your policy documents with you when talking
to the Claims Helpline.
