Mark Dickinson appointed HR Business Partner
In a further demonstration of its commitment to become 'a great place to work' Groupama Insurances has appointed Mark Dickinson as HR Business Partner with a specific remit to ensure the alignment of business and people strategies. This appointment follows Groupama's recently enhanced Investors In People (IIP) accreditation, which commended the company on its genuine commitment to employee engagement and for its focus on placing its values at the heart of the organisation.
Mark is a chartered member of the Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD) having graduated in 2002. He brings over 8 years HR experience to his new role, starting his career as an HR Assistant then moving to Ford Retail in 2003 where he was HR Advisor developing employee relations and offering technical employment law advice to a network of 42 Ford dealerships around the UK. He also trained managers in performance management and employment legislation.
Joining Groupama in 2005, Mark first stepped into the role of HR Advisor, quickly being appointed as Corporate HR Team Leader, where he managed the operational front line HR team. After a short career break, Mark has now been promoted to HR Business Partner, which will use his extensive knowledge to help drive forward the people management strategy at Groupama Insurances.
"Groupama has just been granted the highest standard of IIP accreditation, which is a real testament to the value the business places on its people," says Mark Dickinson of his new role. "As HR Business Partner I will be working closely with the senior management team to ensure the business and HR strategies complement each other. My aim is to further develop and deliver initiatives to cultivate talent, including our graduate development scheme and 'Springboard', our internal talent management programme – both important parts of Groupama's business strategy."
Paul Picknett, Groupama's Director of Corporate Services concludes, "Mark's understanding of the business, combined with his vision, means he will play a key role in enhancing our people management programme. Our workforce lies at the heart of our success and is why we continue to invest heavily in making Groupama a great place to work. Mark's appointment is part of our commitment to ensuring our business strategy is well served by the development and nurturing of talent inside the company."
